Simplicity

In this photo the main object that we want noticed is captured by the photographer in this case the twin tower exploiting in flames and smoke.

The Rules of Thirds

In this photo if we separate into different parts we can change places and the picture would still good it would not noticed difference.

Balance

In this photo the balance if we separate the picture in two would be the same there are 3 persons in the left side and 3 on the right side so is the same weight.

Avoiding Mergers

I this photo we can see that the photographer focus too much on the object that forget the details that covering the principal object in this case, the tree.

Lines

In this photo the perpendicular lines on the building are great example of line but even the smoke make lines so it makes it a good example.

Framing

In this photo the technique of framing was that the attention of  the subject is  blocking by other image or something in the scene. in this case the building.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

The article is about how some photographers have changed many photos with Photoshop for worse. As hide parts that suits them hide or evil reasons for wanting to do the pictures come out as they want. But to do that they did worse because they gave bad results and more conflicts.
This may not be acceptable because we would be living in a lie. And many photographers could use this medium for worse.

I think this is one of the must unethical because it can cause severe reaction to the public, especially for the young who want or strive or even comes to anorexia to have a body like the artists in the magazines but I think that show what we truly are the best example or model that other people can follow.
I think this was the least unethical because they made a change that does not affect anyone but rather helped it look better but not so exaggerated look.

40 Greatest Photos Ever

I chose this photo because it seems very romantic also something that I liked was the focus of both the colors and the look that the photographer wanted to be noticed.
I chose this photo because it's so sweet to see how the family in this case a mother and daughter meet again after a long time. And you can see their emotions.
In this photo I really liked the expression of the child to listen for the first time in his life, you can see their emotions and joy that even that is contagious.

Warm-up

This is my favorite picture because I like how it was taken because we never see something like that. Is interesting how the photographer can take the picture like that one with all that colors and effects. That makes us think of all the things around the world that we've never seen and they are so great and beautiful and even some dangerous. And we think that we still have many things to know

"Great black and white photographers, PART 2"

EMMET GOWIN
He was an art photographer and teacher. He was born 1941 in Danville, Virginia. He graduated from high school, and then he attended the Richmond Professional Institute, now Virginia Commonwealth University. He first gained attention in the 1970s with his intimate portraits of his wife, Edith, and her family. Later he turned his attention to the landscapes taking aerial photographs of places that had been changed by humans or nature.
He began exploring the enigmas of daily life. The pictures are made as a part of everyday life and are not the result of any project or assignment; it was with a camera on a tripod. He was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship 1974 and two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships 1977, 1979 and received such arts awards as the Pew fellowship 1993 and Friends of Photography Peer Award 1992.
His first major exhibit was at the Museum of Modern Art in 1971 with Robert Adams and he has since had solo exhibitions at the Corcoran Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art, the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, Virginia, and the Light Gallery. His work is represented in such collections as those of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Gowin teaches at Princeton University and also pursues his own work as a freelance photographer.  Gowin retired from teaching at Princeton University at the end of 2009 and lives in Pennsylvania with his wife Edith.

CAMERA HISTORY

1-    This effect is achieved by making in a wall one hole and you need to put a lens for that the light can focus on the object you want to take the photo on the other side of the room and for that you need the room dark.
2-    Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding of optics and the process of making high quality glass lenses.
3-    He added *film* to create the first successful photograph, A glass lens, a dark box, and film.
4-    Light passes through the lens, into the camera, and exposes the film
5-    Digital cameras capture the images with an electronic sensor called a CCD. Photographs are stored on reusable computer memory devices.
6-    Auto the camera will completely control flash and exposure and program automatic-assist, just point and a few other camera settings.
7-    Portrait mode is used for to attempt to blur out the background, camera will try to use the fastest available lens setting (aperture).
8-    Sports mode is used to freeze motion, camera will use the highest shutter speed possible.
9-You should use a half press on the trigger button because that helps to have a focus lock because that tell the camera that you are almost ready to take a shot and to be prepared, triggering the following things to happen.
10-
Means that the photo will be taken without flash. And you would use it when the room or the place has enough light.
11- Means that the photo will be taken with flash. And you would use it when the room or the place are dark because you want more light.
12-    If there is too much light in the picture will be washed out.
13-    If there is not enough light and the picture will be to dark.
14-    A stop is a relative measurement of light and it came from the early history photography and represents a relative change in the brightness of light.
15-    The planet is one stop brighter if there is two sons instead one.
16-    If the new planet is four sons instead of two there are 2 stops brighter.
17-    Longer shutter speeds more light.
18-    Shorter shutter speeds less light.
19-The aperture controls light by closing up to restrict light, and opening up to let it through.
20-You can increase the amount of light by moving from f16 to f8 two stop brighter.

Fist Photo - Best and Wors

This photo I  put it like the best because I totally like it, for example the background appearance, the geometry and how she show her personality throw the photo.

I did't like the photo because I feel like, it has no sense or purpose because I did't capture her feelings or why I take the picture, other thing that I did't like also is that the picture is crooked so is like a bad taken
picture for me
